June fun at St Quentin Care Homes.
June has been a month of exciting events at St Quentin Care Homes.
We were thrilled to officially launch our new coffee shop on 6th June, and it’s safe to say it was a big hit! Residents, families, and staff gathered to enjoy a relaxing atmosphere where they could catch up over a selection of coffees, milkshakes, iced drinks, smoothies, and cakes. The joy of conversation, laughter, and delicious treats made the event feel truly special. We’re excited to announce this will now be a regular weekly event every Friday, and we can’t wait to welcome you all back for your next cuppa!

On Saturday 14th June, we had a fantastic visit from local bikers, who brought a wave of nostalgia and excitement to the home. Residents with a love for motorbikes, or who once rode bikes themselves, were thrilled to swap stories, admire the bikes, and relive the freedom of the open road. It was a lovely event that sparked many memories and conversations.

Our first ever cooking club was held on 19th June, and it was a success! The residents took part in preparing a chicken curry from scratch, engaging all their senses, smelling spices, exploring ingredients, and learning about the nutritional value of their meals. The highlight was tasting the final dish they had helped create. It was a fantastic way to bring people together and we’re excited to see this club continue to grow.
We’re getting ready for an exciting trip to Blackpool on 1st July, where residents and staff, will get the chance to spend quality time together, enjoy the seaside, and make wonderful new memories.

Stay tuned for highlights from this special outing in next month’s news!
